Block different stages:
Preparing a fair generally involves an extra effort for the company, but normally has a very positive impact. Every year we try to improve ourselves a bit more. This year, for Rocalia, we have prepared a nice stand for this occasion that included a large monolith emptied with our modulating machines with a human shape inside:
All the visitors were quiet surprised:
Most of Madrid subway stations are made in granite, following the original design of an Spanish famous architect, Antonio Palacios. He also designed the stations entrances with the already familiar iron banisters. And some sculptural syubway entrance gates, very famous, such as Puerta del Sol and San Luis in Gran Vía street.
Granilouro designed, produced and installed these new subway entrances in most of Madrid underground network. Our kerbstones have been adapted to the streets around the stations and even to the stairs. Always following the original design of the Architect Palacios.
At the end of the year 2018 Granilouro produced and installed 110 granite benches, made in our Grey Louro material. These pieces were included in the rehabilitation of the main street in Spain’s capital city, the well-known Gran Vía.
4 months before the deadlines previewed on the contract, Granilouro finished the Gran Vía project in Madrid. Ready to open by Christmas 2018-19. Sidewalks in Grey Louro and Black Santiago, dimensions between 2.6 and 3.4 m, so the project got 6800 m2 for pedestrian use, with flower pots, parking entrances, and transition curved kerbstones on streets junctions.
In these 30 years we have paved the Gran Vía in Madrid twice. We also took care of the urban furniture, 143 benches, 110 of them in granite.
All our projects come from the architects creations and designs. Each time we have to adapt those designs and ideas into real pieces and get everything in place with our clients desires. That’s what we do with our technical department and then in the factory. As an example here we show you some “fountains” in France and Germany.
